Roller brushes (also known as cylinder brushes or rotary brushes) may wear faster in high contact areas of the brush face, and whereas with traditional one-piece roller brushes this would necessitate a whole new brush installation; a Zig-Zag roller brush however simply requires the worn section be replaced – not the whole brush length.The benefit of individual sections also extends to the wider brush face and system which can be made. By combining segments filled in different bristle materials, of varying stiffness, and brush patterns, a complex brush face can be created on the same shaft, and across the wider brush system to create a brush pattern which could not be easily nor cheaply done with traditional one-piece roller brushes.
